FinanceCopilot — Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 6, 2026
Overview
FinanceCopilot is a personal, offline-first desktop application for wealth management. It is designed to keep your financial data private and under your control.
Data Storage
- All data stays on your device. FinanceCopilot stores your financial data in a local SQLite database on your computer. No data is sent to any server operated by FinanceCopilot.
- Configuration files (such as API credentials for Open Banking) are stored locally in your user profile directory.
Google Drive Sync (Optional)
- If you enable Google Drive Sync, your database file is uploaded to your own Google Drive account in a private, app-specific folder.
- Only you can access this data. FinanceCopilot cannot access any other files in your Google Drive.
- The scope used is
drive.appdata, which restricts access to the app’s own hidden folder only.
- You can sign out at any time in Settings to stop syncing.
Third-Party Services
- Market data: The app fetches publicly available market prices, exchange rates, and ETF composition data. No personal data is sent in these requests.
- No analytics or tracking: FinanceCopilot does not include any analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs.
Data Sharing
FinanceCopilot does not share, sell, or transmit your personal or financial data to any third party. You are the sole controller of your data.
Your Rights
Since all data is stored locally, you have full control: you can view, export, or delete your database file at any time.
